eProfiling is an innovative workplace skill monitoring tool that has been developed by the Electrotechnology industry. It allows for the accurate reporting of the tasks that an apprentice undertakes in the workplace and reports to a Registered Training Organisation and employer on how this workplace evidence is mapped against the competency standard units found in the relevant Training Package.
Currently, eProfiling has data capture database products for the following EE-Oz Training Standards endorsed Training Packages:
The data capture services include the following:
We also provide our clients with the Training Plan initiator software which is designed for RTOs looking for assistance in developing an AQTF compliant Training Plan. This service is currently available for the UTE99, UTT98 and UTG98 Training Packages only, and can be located in the Training Package section of this web-site.
A cost-effective, non-intrusive tool, eProfiling products can be used by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) (eg. TAFE or Industry Skill Centres) in partnership with an apprentices' employer. The product tracks, analyses and assesses the apprentices' development and performance against the competency standard units that make up an approved national qualification.
The information collated through eProfiling is used by the apprentices’ RTOs to help monitor, guide and support an apprentices' development towards competence. This information assists in evaluating whether an apprentices' 'profile' is developing according to the industry endorsed advisory targets for competency.
It also helps identify if there are areas requiring further attention or improvement.
If an apprentice is using the e-LogBook function which is the fully on-line product, an apprentice will register a weekly record through logging in to the web-site and registering their weekly record of work, also know as the weekly card. An employer verifies the work by using their log in to validate a summary of the apprentices’ weekly card.
For apprentices using the paper based electronic profiling system , an apprentice completes a paper based Data Card each week that lists each task they have undertaken under supervision of their employer. These cards are available in a printed book format.
The Data Cards feature pre-set information, so all the apprentice has to do is mark the card accordingly. The card is then signed by the supervisor and submitted to the computerised profiling system by the apprentice.
Employers and Registered Training Organisations utilising the on-line e-LogBook system, will have access to live reports using their log in into the e-LogBook function. The data that is reported on is the information that the apprentice has registered which has been validated by the employer/supervisor as correct. Data submitted by the apprentices which has not undertaken the validation process by the employer will remain as pending and will not form a part of the apprentices’ progress until the validation occurs. The reports are concise, elaborate and graphical reports that provide information to the parties to the contract that covers the spread of work, experience and all the critical requirements of competence.
For apprentices using the Electronic Profiling system, a quarterly report is produced on each apprentice every 12 weeks. This report is a concise, elaborate and highly graphical report. The report covers the spread of work experiences and all the critical requirements of competence. The report can be accessed by the RTO, apprentice and employer.
